Visa Information

The East Africa Tourist Visa (EATV) allows travelers to visit Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda with a single visa. The visa is valid for 90 days, permits multiple entries between the three countries, and costs US$100.

Requirements:

  • Valid passport (at least 6 months validity)
  • Recent passport-sized photograph
  • Travel itinerary

Transportation

Transportation will be arranged for delegates from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (Nairobi) to the conference venue in Nyeri, and return transfers to the airport at the end of the conference. Details will be provided closer to the event.

Climate in August

August in Nyeri is pleasantly mild, marking the tail end of the cool season. Expect daytime temperatures of 19–21°C (66–70°F) and cooler evenings around 10–12°C (50–54°F). Rainfall is minimal, with an average of 50mm spread over the month. We recommend bringing layers for the cooler mornings and evenings.
